Game Laws

Account Names
Profanity, derogatory slurs, inappropriate imagery and/or personal attacks may not be used in account names or titles nor at any time can you take on an account name or game title that contains any reference to being part of Game Administration. Restricted words include "Admin, Moderator, Chat Monitor, Manager" or any derivatives. Also included are current or former staff account names. (With the intent to act as staff)

Your name represents your online personality - other players cannot take on your name with intent to cause damage to your reputation or confuse other players. For example, if your account name is "Bobby II" and a player takes on "Bobby 11," they are free to do so, provided they do not claim to be you or if it results in confusion for other players. It is up to you to file a complaint if someone is using your name in an illegal manner. To do so, open a ticket on the Customer Service page.

There is no name security - if you change your name, you lose rights to said name. Another player may take it and use it as their own.

Account/Player Relationship
In terms of crime and punishment, players are viewed as just that - a person playing. Punishment doled out to one alien is automatically applied to their other aliens. (Assuming they have other aliens) For example - if you are temporarily banned from the message boards for flooding with one alien, all of your aliens will be temporarily banned from them.

Multiple Aliens
You are allotted one game (user) account per individual. Each game account may contain two unsubscribed aliens. All additional aliens must be subscribed and made through the Manage Aliens page. Any older accounts not made through the Manage Aliens page must be attached to your game account. You may request any older accounts you may have to be attached to your game account via the Customer Service page. You may not have more than two unsubscribed aliens at any point. If more than two of your aliens become unsubscribed, all but two will remain locked until subscribed again.

Since this is an issue of much confusion, some clarification - at no point in time you can play/use/own more than two aliens, unless any additional aliens you are using are subscribed. You can not switch to additional aliens that are unsubscribed, you must first purchase subscription time for them. Intending to subscribe is not a subscription, all additional aliens must be. There are some situations - playing from school or home that may require numerous people to play from the same location - this is acceptable, provided there is no interactions between the accounts, aside from communication. That means no transferring of items or currency.

Account Sharing/Hacking
Logging in to, or using another person's account without express permission is not allowed. To clarify the account sharing issue - you cannot share an account with another person, paid or unpaid. You may "babysit" someone's account if you have received express written permission from a member of staff via a Customer Service ticket. You will be allowed a window of time in which you may use that account, so long as you are the only person accessing it during that time. Accessing the account outside of this approved window of time is not allowed. Use of someone's account to access subscriber-only content or to access any other feature (i.e. Leet, study, location access) is not permitted.

Culpability
The game recognizes the account owner to be the person with the corresponding sign up name, email information, and who has made any purchases from the game for the account. The account owner is responsible for their account at all times. This means if your friends/family/pet sheep log into your account and cause trouble, you will be held responsible. Keep your username and password secure, as you would for any other site.

Account/Item Selling/Bartering
It is a violation of game law and under no circumstances is the selling or trading of in game subscription time, game accounts, game currencies or game items for other off game currencies or goods permitted. In-game battling services and in-game gambling/pools for off game sports or events are done at your own risk.

Account Loss/Reclaiming/Giving Away
If an account is lost due to lost/stolen information, it will be returned to the proper owner provided they can confirm their identity. No refund of game items or money is assured, but Game Administration, at their discretion, may return items or money if there is evidence of the loss which can be reclaimed. Players who continually "lose" their account will stop having it returned. You have up to one (1) month to reclaim a lost account, after which the account will remain unclaimed until it is automatically removed from the system. No support is given to accounts that cannot have ownership verified.

Players who wish to give away their account must announce this in a ticket on the Customer Service page including all signup details. Once given away, the account cannot then be reclaimed by that owner. If the new owner requires support then they must provide as much details as possible.

Account Termination
Individuals who no longer wish to play Alien Adoption Agency may terminate their accounts by not logging into their accounts. We reserve the right to delete player accounts after a period of 30 days of inactivity, or when their subscription expires, whichever happens later.
